Windows Vista

Windows Vista is the new Operating System that Microsoft released on January 30, 2007. We have been testing a beta version of Windows Vista for some time and we have found that it does not work with all programs. In fact some programs actually crash the computer when installed, one such program is Roxio easy CD Creator. We will continue to monitor and test the operating system but will olny offer fee based support on any of the older systems that have been upgraded from Windows XP. Please be advised that if you wish to upgrade your computer or install a fresh copy of Windows Vista we cannot guarantee satisfactory results. While we are offering the Microsoft Windows Vista upgrade with all new computers we do not recommend that you install it right away!

We're not suggesting that you do not upgrade or make the move to Windows Vista just that you are aware that there are going to be problems with this new operating system.

Here are some of the problems we have encountered on our test system:

  • unable to connect to other computers on our network
  • unable to connect to network drives
  • Zonealrm firewall program would not install
  • Roxio easy CD Creator crashed the system.
  • Windows Media player would not work correctly after attmepting to install Roxio
  • WinAmp media player did not work correctly
  • unable to make audio CDs with the Windows C. D. burning system
  • Some of the features would not work until extra hardware was installed.

We will be updating this list as more problems arise.

Please note that we will be offering a "For Fee" service to help solve your Windows Vista problems. We will be charging our normal $40 per hour for this service. If you have any Questions regarding the new Operating System please feel free to leave a message on our Forum.
